In the following years, the final product was completely updated according to the original concept based on an isocentric and motorized C-arc, very reliable thanks to sensors that prevent collisions and a generator separated from the X-ray tube.<\/p>\n<p>Eurocolumbus is the only Italian manufacturer of C-arms that can boast its own R&amp;D department. The equipment is completely designed and manufactured in the factory in Milan, Italy. EtherCAT allows time synchronization down to nanosecond values.<\/p>\n<p>The use of EtherCAT technology improves the execution speed and reliability of all programs that are developed and installed in the systems. The efficiency of programs is increased by reducing the waiting time in transitions between different process phases.<\/p>\n<p>The core element of the device is an artificial intelligence system (MCP) that constantly monitors all functions. This new technology, pioneered by Eurocolumbus in the medical world, results in a perfect, fast and easy-to-use system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Image Acquisition Algorithm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A significant change took place in 2012! When Eurocolumbus abandoned Windows and moved to LINUX, a real-time operating system (RTOS). Fly5, a LINUX-based software that was developed by Eurocolumbus&#8217; R&amp;D department, is capable of processing radiologic images with a maximum distribution of 3k x 3k in real time. All acquired images are processed and stored in 16 bits, taking advantage of the best technologies available on the market.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>To ensure full compliance with clinical requirements and not to create artifacts, digital image compression is not performed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To produce images of unprecedented quality, the Fly5 software optimizes a number of processes, most notably detector control, performed directly by Fly5 without the use of its manufacturer&#8217;s interface.<\/p>\n<p>The meaning of the algorithm is multiscale analysis with pyramidal decomposition of images based on wavelet terms, then waves, are constrained in both space and spatial frequency.<\/p>\n<p>The RAW image acquired by the detector undergoes a series of filtering and sampling to obtain and separate different levels of image information according to a Gaussian-Laplacian distribution.[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=&#8221;EDM &#8211; EAC&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]The EDM and EAC functions ensure that images are always perfectly exposed and have the lowest possible dose, even if the image is not perfectly oriented. The two functions operate in real time thanks to the closed-loop control of &#8220;image quality &#8211; radiological parameters&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Each area of the body requires different radiologic parameters to be applied<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>EDM<\/strong> (Eurocolumbus Dose Management) function adapts the dose according to the characteristics of the body area being examined, and an evaluation is performed at each detector point.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The EAC<\/strong> (Eurocolumbus Automatic Control) function detects and sets the correct exposure time for the lowest possible dose. Both functions operate in real time.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Updated Euroampli Alien Cardio system&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]The <strong>Euroampli Alien Cardio<\/strong> system has been further developed and is now a worthy alternative to fixed angiographs for angiographic and hemodynamic procedures.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Absolutely comparable image quality and performance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Possibility to install advanced software such as, for example, FUSION.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ability to synchronize angiograph movements when used in conjunction with the CT70T evolution patient table.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A true x-ray operating room for catheterizations, even with a mobile angiograph.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Perfect installation&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]The Euroampli Alien Cardio is easy to install even in a small room. The same room can ergonomically accommodate all necessary accessories for angiography and\/or hemodynamics rooms: hangers for ceiling mounting of relay monitors \/ X-ray protection \/ surgical light \/ relay monitors in the control room \/ &#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; MAVIG ceiling pendant with BARCO 55&#8243; multi-split monitor (recommended); alternative solution is a pendant with 1 or 2 BARCO 31.5&#8243; 4K monitors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Protection against X-ray radiation (MAVIG).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Surgical Light (MAVIG).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Relay monitors in the control room.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Console for motion control and maintaining the position of the C-arm in the console room or at the patient&#8217;s bedside.<\/p>\n<p>If it is not possible to mount monitors with a ceiling mount, the best solution is a lightweight and maneuverable cart (one cart can accommodate one 55&#8243; multi-split monitor or up to two 31.5&#8243; 4K monitors).<br \/>\nThe ETS15 (Eurocolumbus Touch Sensitive) console is mounted on both a C-arm and a small cart.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Variable SID (distance from transmitter to image receiver) and motorized movements&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]Horizontal, vertical and angular movements of the C-arm are fully motorized in Euroampli Alien Cardio models. The SID change is also motorized. Free C-arc positions can be stored in memory with four slots (more slots are available for pre-defined or DICOM positions that can be easily reproduced). Eurocolumbus is the unique manufacturer in the world to offer a mobile C-arc with variable SID distance and an X-ray tube with an anode capacity of 857 ktu.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Better ergonomics<br \/>\n&#8211; Lower dose and less noise<br \/>\n&#8211; Better images<br \/>\n&#8211; Minimal magnification<\/p>\n<p>Fully isocentric motorized C-arms: safer, faster, more accurate. These mechanical solutions (isocentricity, motorization and variable distance SID) are available in all fixed angiography systems.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;WAD + EHC&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]<strong>WAD (Water Aided Dissipation):<\/strong> X-ray tube cooling system; due to the combination of dielectric oil in the middle of the radiology suite, as well as the cooling agent and advanced heat exchanger, has no fans (forced cooling) in the sterile area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EHC (Eurocolumbus Heat Control):<\/strong> real-time thermal control thanks to immediate action in relation to changes in frames per second and \/ or pulse and \/ or visualization and radiological parameters, to ensure optimal system performance and prevent overheating.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Active collision avoidance system EPD&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]Safety first! The new EPD (Eurocolumbus Proximity Detection) volumetric systems can have different and independent settings for the FPD side and for the X-ray side, both upper and lower lids. EPD senses the proximity of anatomical or metal parts, completely stopping the movement of the C-arc to prevent any collision.<\/p>\n<p>There are two main reasons why this system is called &#8220;smart&#8221;. First, the system intervenes and stops all C-arc motions &#8220;before&#8221; the collision. Second, if the active anti-collision system intervenes while X-rays are being emitted, all motion of the C-arc stops, but it does not interfere with the X-rays being emitted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proximity sensors cover the entire surface of both the FPD and the X-ray tube, ensuring complete safety, particularly when sterile coatings on the patient prevent the radiologist from clearly seeing the position of the X-ray tube under the operating table.<\/strong>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;RDW &#8211; EBF collimator&#8221; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]Euroampli Alien Cardio is equipped with all classic dose reduction systems:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Digital image rotation<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Maintaining the C-arc position<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Saving the collimator position<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Virtual collimator<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Automatic adjustment of pulse\/frame rate<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Laser guidance on the detector side and\/or X-ray tube side (optional)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But the significant dose reduction must be attributed to the new EBF (Eurocolumbus Beam Filtration) system, which, by means of a motorized rotating collimator, and depending on the anatomical technique used and the area of the body being examined, automatically inserts additional filters to reduce the radiation.<\/p>\n<p>The traditional curtain collimator has all the movements: horizontal, vertical, asymmetric and concentric to ensure maximum attention to the problem of reducing the dose absorbed by the patient and operators.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;ETS15&#8243; style=&#8221;rounded_outline&#8221; color=&#8221;peacoc&#8221; open=&#8221;true&#8221;]Euroampli Alien Cardio comes with two ETS15 user interfaces, one located on the C-arm and the other located on a small cart that can be placed anywhere in the operating room. Both touch screens are 15.6&#8243;, synchronized with each other.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the extremely high speed provided by our artificial intelligence systems, the two ETS15 interfaces can be operated either synchronously or separately.
