The EDM and EAC functions ensure that images are always perfectly exposed and have the lowest possible dose, even if the image is not perfectly oriented. The two functions operate in real time thanks to the closed-loop control of “image quality – radiological parameters”.

The EDM (Eurocolumbus Dose Management) function adapts the dose according to the characteristics of the body area being examined, and an evaluation is performed at each detector point.

The EAC (Eurocolumbus Automatic Control) function detects and sets the correct exposure time for the lowest possible dose. Both functions operate in real time.

The Euroampli Alien Cardio system has been further developed and is now a worthy alternative to fixed angiographs for angiographic and hemodynamic procedures.

The Euroampli Alien Cardio is easy to install even in a small room. The same room can ergonomically accommodate all necessary accessories for angiography and/or hemodynamics rooms: hangers for ceiling mounting of relay monitors / X-ray protection / surgical light / relay monitors in the control room / ….

If it is not possible to mount monitors with a ceiling mount, the best solution is a lightweight and maneuverable cart (one cart can accommodate one 55″ multi-split monitor or up to two 31.5″ 4K monitors).
The ETS15 (Eurocolumbus Touch Sensitive) console is mounted on both a C-arm and a small cart.

Horizontal, vertical and angular movements of the C-arm are fully motorized in Euroampli Alien Cardio models. The SID change is also motorized. Free C-arc positions can be stored in memory with four slots (more slots are available for pre-defined or DICOM positions that can be easily reproduced). Eurocolumbus is the unique manufacturer in the world to offer a mobile C-arc with variable SID distance and an X-ray tube with an anode capacity of 857 ktu.

Fully isocentric motorized C-arms: safer, faster, more accurate. These mechanical solutions (isocentricity, motorization and variable distance SID) are available in all fixed angiography systems.

WAD (Water Aided Dissipation): X-ray tube cooling system; due to the combination of dielectric oil in the middle of the radiology suite, as well as the cooling agent and advanced heat exchanger, has no fans (forced cooling) in the sterile area.

EHC (Eurocolumbus Heat Control): real-time thermal control thanks to immediate action in relation to changes in frames per second and / or pulse and / or visualization and radiological parameters, to ensure optimal system performance and prevent overheating.

Safety first! The new EPD (Eurocolumbus Proximity Detection) volumetric systems can have different and independent settings for the FPD side and for the X-ray side, both upper and lower lids. EPD senses the proximity of anatomical or metal parts, completely stopping the movement of the C-arc to prevent any collision.

There are two main reasons why this system is called “smart”. First, the system intervenes and stops all C-arc motions “before” the collision. Second, if the active anti-collision system intervenes while X-rays are being emitted, all motion of the C-arc stops, but it does not interfere with the X-rays being emitted.

Proximity sensors cover the entire surface of both the FPD and the X-ray tube, ensuring complete safety, particularly when sterile coatings on the patient prevent the radiologist from clearly seeing the position of the X-ray tube under the operating table.

Euroampli Alien Cardio is equipped with all classic dose reduction systems:

But the significant dose reduction must be attributed to the new EBF (Eurocolumbus Beam Filtration) system, which, by means of a motorized rotating collimator, and depending on the anatomical technique used and the area of the body being examined, automatically inserts additional filters to reduce the radiation.

The traditional curtain collimator has all the movements: horizontal, vertical, asymmetric and concentric to ensure maximum attention to the problem of reducing the dose absorbed by the patient and operators.

Euroampli Alien Cardio comes with two ETS15 user interfaces, one located on the C-arm and the other located on a small cart that can be placed anywhere in the operating room. Both touch screens are 15.6″, synchronized with each other.

Thanks to the extremely high speed provided by our artificial intelligence systems, the two ETS15 interfaces can be operated either synchronously or separately. Up to four ETS15s can be installed on the Euroampli Alien Cardio (for example, another ETS15 can be placed in the control room), thereby increasing workflow exponentially.

Each ETS15 can reflect either one or two images of real-time and reference data, and allows you to easily draw the outline of blood vessels and add markers or annotations to the image.

Even data exchange with the hospital network (either via standard Ethernet network cable or wirelessly thanks to the WLAN option) can be easily accomplished thanks to the ETS15.
