SMART Otopront ENT combiner

The system delivers water at exactly the right temperature to irrigate the ear. The water is heated in a special tank to prevent mineralization. The design with external heating element eliminates the formation of limescale on the heating elements. Hygienic safety is guaranteed by the fully autoclavable water filtration unit (including irrigation tip). The effectiveness of the water filtration has been confirmed by studies carried out at a leading German university hospital.

The oil-free compressor delivers filtered air into a stainless steel receiver. The compressed air is always ready for use (without the need to start the compressor beforehand). Additional safety is ensured by a gearbox with pressure gauge adjustment. Like all Otopront handpieces, the spray tip and Politzer olive are made of surgical steel and can be autoclaved.

The device is equipped with three aerosol vials with different cannulae for oily or aqueous solutions. The vials provide optimal protection for light-sensitive medicinal products. All vials are equipped with protective covers and can be equipped with drug labeling rings on request. Each of the spray heads can be used with both stainless steel and disposable Otopront cannulas. The quick disconnect connection ensures maximum safety and comfort.

LED lighting From the very beginning of Otopront’s development of LED light sources, the goal was to achieve not only high brightness, but also a high CRI (color rendering index) (as close as possible to daylight). Both goals were achieved by using a matrix with separately controllable LED elements of different colors. Years of development culminated in the market launch of our Superbright LED light source for flexible endoscopes, which can now capture high-quality LED stroboscopic video with natural color reproduction and clear images The forced active cooling of the light sources ensures long and trouble-free operation for many years. Disinfection Quivers Special Otopront quiver inserts help the endoscope to be properly immersed in the disinfectant solution. Due to the strictly vertical positioning of the inner (floating) insert, the endoscope is not in contact with the outer quiver. The inner insert itself is completely immersed in the disinfectant solution and therefore also remains clean. On its way from the disinfectant solution to the preheating quiver, the endoscope enters a quiver of clean water, where the residual disinfectant solution is washed off. This quiver (always filled with distilled water) allows the endoscope to see a clear image through the endoscope and prevents the formation of lime scale. Halogen light source Otopront continues to offer halogen lighting for users who are accustomed to this type of light source and are convinced that in many situations it provides a better assessment. LED lighting is also available. Both types of light sources can be used simultaneously in the same endoscopy center. Microscopes The SMART ENT combiner is optionally available with microscopes from Carl Zeiss or Kaps. Both of these microscopes can be illuminated with the integrated Otopront LED light source, which offers variable brightness and color temperature. Thanks to the daylight color temperature (CRI > 95%) and the high brightness of this light source (more than 1,800 lumens with adjustment), the image formed has optimal color rendering and high contrast In medical examinations – whether using a microscope or an endoscope – sharp and clear video images are of key importance. In an effort to maximize image quality, Otopront has improved the parameters of its video equipment.
