Unfortunately, over the last 6 years we are faced with sad statistics about Ukrainian fighters receiving severe injuries due to military actions on the territory of Ukraine, namely more than 30,000 casualties. Among the injuries, 40% are head injuries. People with damage to the central nervous system, who are in dire need of specialized neurorehabilitation, are in a difficult situation.
Considering the insufficiency of modern rehabilitation equipment in medical centers, we would like to draw your attention to the charity project
“Be Powerful at 300 w(omen)”, which was initiated on April 4, 2019 by the charity foundation “KRAN”.
The project aims to acquire a robotic complex G-EO System Evolution manufactured by Reha Technology (Switzerland) for restoration of walking function to severely injured ATO (ATO) soldiers who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation within the framework of the NODUS charity project and the charity program of the KRAN Foundation “Restorative treatment, physical rehabilitation and specialized intensive neurorehabilitation of wounded, injured ATO (ATO) participants and civilians of Ukraine, including temporarily internally displaced persons, who have received treatment and rehabilitation within the framework of the NODUS charity project and the KRAN Foundation charity program “Restorative treatment, physical rehabilitation and specialized intensive neurorehabilitation of wounded, injured ATO (ATO) participants and civilians of Ukraine, including temporarily internally displaced persons who have received treatment and rehabilitation”.
It is planned to involve 300 Ukrainian women in fundraising for specialized rehabilitation equipment. The contribution of each participant will amount to 1000 euros (equivalent in UAH at the NBU exchange rate). Thus, not indifferent women, having united their efforts and resources, will be able to realize this extraordinary charitable project for the sake of restoring the health and full life of the defenders of Ukraine.
In September 2020, the first payment for the equipment was made to the supplier and in 1.5-2 months the G-EO System Evolution will be installed in the
Nodus Neurorehabilitation Research and Practice Center, which will allow the charity project to expand again and continue on a qualitatively new level, restoring the health of severely wounded fighters.
G-EO System Evolution is the world’s most advanced walking rehabilitation system. It is the only equipment in the world that realistically stimulates stair climbing and significantly increases the effectiveness of rehabilitation treatment. And the active therapeutic modus allows the patient to consciously participate in therapy.
Through the use of this equipment it is possible to restore:
- – walking in a shorter period of time;
- – individualized natural walking patterns, including stair walking;
- – walking rather than lower limb movements;
- – restore mobility and independence in daily life.
The main advantages of the G-EO System Evolution are that:
- – one rehabilitator is sufficient to work with a patient;
- – customization of individualized walking parameters for each patient in a shorter time;
- – the presence of a knee support module;
- – stair walking option.
By using the G-EO System Evolution in an individual patient’s specialized rehabilitation program – walking recovery is more intensive, more efficient and in a shorter period of time.
