Congratulations Medilux Medical Diagnostic Center (Vinnitsa) with the acquisition and launch of a modern digital mammography system Helianthus C Bym from the world famous manufacturer Metaltronica S.p.A., Italy, which is one of the world leaders in the production of X-ray systems for mammography.
The Helianthus C Bym System is a digital, full-format mammography system for screening and diagnostic tests that are designed to prevent breast cancer.
The system is equipped with a high-frequency generator, an X-ray tube with a biangular tungsten anode, and an indirect conversion detector.
The Helianthus Bym system features a fully motorized isocentric C-horbase tripod (vertical movement and rotation), which reduces exam time and allows you to perform breast exams in all projections without having to change the height of the C-horbase tripod or move the patient.
KEY BENEFITS OF HELIANTHUS C BYM
- Helianthus control and data acquisition station. The data acquisition workstation is equipped with a transparent screen for X-ray protection. The monitor can be attached directly to the glass panel (on the preferred side) to provide more space on the workstation and can be mounted in the most convenient way for the operator.
- POEt software for workflow optimization. Helianthus is equipped with powerful “POEt” (Processing for Optimal Enhancement) software that generates superior diagnostic images that enhance tissue structure and reduce noise. Thanks to its versatile application, the operator can pre-set the most suitable parameters, when using geometric magnification, for post-surgical examinations, mammary glands with implants and/or metal landmarks.
- HD Monitor. 5-megapixel (21.3″) LCD dual high-resolution monitor for previewing images.
Unfortunately, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. According to the National Cancer Registry, every year almost 15,000 people in Ukraine learn about this diagnosis and more than half a million women in the world die from breast cancer.
Breast cancer is curable! However, if the disease is detected at stage I, 95% are completely cured, at stage II – 80%, detection of advanced cancer at stages III-IV in 50% ends lethally.
Detecting the disease in time will help:
– Monthly self-examinations and breast palpation (day 6-12 of the cycle);
– an annual visit to your mammologist;
– Breast ultrasound before age 35;
– Mammography: first at age 35-40, once every 2 years at age 40-49, and once a year at age 50 and older.
To prevent the occurrence of breast cancer, doctors advise to adhere to a healthy lifestyle, stop drinking alcohol, stop smoking, control your weight, regularly engage in physical activity.
